Submission Guidelines, Journal of the Philosophy of Sport
1. JPS, which is published twice a year (spring and fall), welcomes submissions on any philosophical issue arising in sport, games, play, dance, embodiment, or other motor-related activities. Papers can be either original defenses of a thesis or discussions of existing published work. Published articles are typically 3,000-9,000 words long.
2. Authors interested in submitting book reviews should contact Associate Editor Paul Davis at jocrates62@yahoo.co.uk for review guidelines.
3. The preferred mode of submission is through the Manuscript Central online review system, which speeds up the review process and saves postage costs. The initial registration process is very simple and permits authors to subsequently log in with just an e-mail address and a password.
4. Authors who are unable to submit papers online may submit hard copies of submissions instead. Send four nonreturnable copies to

5. Address all editorial inquiries to the editor at jrussell@langara.bc.ca or jsrussell@shaw.ca.
JPS uses a blind review process, the author's name and institutional affiliation should appear only on the cover page or cover letter, and care should be taken to avoid self-identification in the text or the notes.
7. Manuscripts should conform to the reference, endnote, and bibliographical style used in recent volumes of JPS. Manuscripts employing alternative formats will be accepted for review; however, stylistic revisions will be required before publication.
